Working as a stylist I am constantly looking for fresh inspiration – day to day I find myself flicking through Vogue magazine and increasing my knowledge of the current key trends (it’s like a bible to me!)… So when I decided to put together two brand new Edit Rails, I reached for my SS16 Vogue guide and got to work…
AFTER DARK REBEL
My first Edit Rail is all about lace, mesh and leather with a sports luxe twist. This trend was recently seen on the Burberry runway and is the ideal rebellious alternative to the Pastal palettes seen across the brands.
STYLE NOTE: Play with different textures. Add a Warehouse Leather Jacket to a Topshop Mesh Insert Crop top for an edgy, modern take on the classic Rock Chic look.

FOLK LOVE
Folk Love features relaxed chiffon shirts, 70’s floral and delicate beaded jewellery. This particular collection has a strong festival feel to it, the soft tailoring gives the rail a carefree attitude and this seasons layering rule means the trend is easy and ready to wear. My vision for this rail was a subtle reminder that summer is around the corner. The combination of fresh floral prints and a contrasting burnt orange palette remind us of warm sunsets.
STYLE NOTE: Mix monochrome Aztec prints with a knee length Dorothy Perkins floral Kimono for extra style points.
All garments available at Outfit.
