Donned as the perfect lip for blondes, I got my hands on the fresh new shade to be added to the highly sought after Kylie Lip Kit collection.
As a girl who adores make-up, it’s a challenge to browse the range of Matte Liquid Lip Kits and not fall in love. The selection is huge and features everything from nudes to reds, wacky bright blues and even the new metallic shades – all of which I wanted to buy!

After much deliberation, I decided to go for ‘Dirty Peach’ – a subtle orange shade. I’ve always loved the combination of orange hues and blonde hair, I think they compliment each other perfectly and can be worn through all seasons.

When I placed my order I was a little bit worried that it might be too bright/highly pigmented (I really didn’t want it to be too bright!)
When the adorable box arrived, I was pleasantly surprised with the shade – it was exactly what I’d hoped for, nothing short of perfect!
When it comes to using the product, the wand which has a small applicator at the very end is highly saturated with the lipstick formula, I would recommend using the rim of the stick to get rid of some of the excess to allow an easier smoother application.
The Lip Liner is the very best I’ve ever used, I’ve tried and tested a handful that are available from most beauty stores and always found them to be cakey or too hard to blend. The lip liner from the Kylie Cosmetics set is ultra smooth, easy to blend and lasts all day. Plus, as the liner is slightly brighter than the lipstick you can use the liner as a lipstick as add a layer of Carmex lip balm or clear lipgloss over the top for a completely different nightime look.
When the Kylie Lip Kits first emerged I wasn’t able to get my hands on them quick enough which I found really disappointing, so, I searched the beauty stores in my area to find some duplicates. Most of the larger Boots stores now have an NYX counter and their matte liquid lipsticks are very similar to the Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kits.

The actual formula has the same consistency and feel to it, when comparing the two products they are pretty much identical.
The colour ‘Stockholm’ is very similar to Candy K which is the perfect all year round nude shade.

It’s a little harder to find duplicates for ‘Dirty Peach’ as the orange hue is quite unusual. With this being said the closest I could find was NYX again with their ‘Extra Creamy Round Lipstick’ collection in the shade ‘Pure Nude’ the texture is slightly different and I had to keep applying the product every few hours to keep it looking pristine. In my opinion the Kylie Lip Kit was a much better choice.

Another brand I found that has a very similar range is Stila. I’ve used this brand for a few years and their highlighter is one of my beauty bag essentials – so when they brought out their new matte lipstick collection, I was eager to see how they compared to Kylie’s. Stila Cosmetics Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in the shade ‘Caramello’ is the ideal alternative to the popular Lip Kit shade ‘Exposed’. The Stila lipstick is priced at £16, £13 cheaper than the Kylie lip kit and that’s before the hefty US shipping charges! I would highly recommend Caramello to any one looking for a long lasting every day nude lipstick.
