I’m so excited to share this post with you all as I feel like working with this brand sums up perfectly the reasons why I love being a blogger. For those of you who have followed my blog for a little while – you may have read my previous post back in April reviewing Buth Bheag Candle Co.
Since the spring this luxury brand has gone from strength to strength with the help of bloggers and influencers from across the UK sharing the love for their stunning range of products. They have now landed themselves over 30 stockists and two brand new shops.
Sometimes when a project or new venture takes shape and naturally progresses a re-brand can be a really exciting and refreshing way to move forward and celebrate the success you’ve made. When the team announced the re-brand I instantly couldn’t wait to see what this meant for them as a company; I was pleasantly suprised to see that they are still taking their inspiration from their beautiful home of the Scottish Isles by keeping their scents named after the many beaches that make up the stunning coastline.
SENT WITH LOVE
When I opened the parcel up to reveal the two beautifully packaged items I thought for a moment what good gifts they would make. The re-brand has taken on a slightly more mature, sophisticated vibe.
You can tell as soon as you open the box that it’s a luxury item – from the on trend marble exterior to the minimal, slick glassware. Each and every perfectly executed little detail completely sets Essence of Harris apart from the other brands on the market. Everything down to their scent collections, packaging and brand story is unique and you truly feel like you have a little bit of paradise in your home when you purchase from them.
Each scent collection comes in a different colour palette, each with rose gold lettering which makes the new range ideal for gifts with the festive season coming around.
Another reason that makes this new collection special is the fact they’ve gone right back to basics by discussing how each of the candles and reed diffusers are made on the side of the packaging. Absolutely every single item is hand-poured with love in the Isle of Harris and you can even learn more about the creators of the brand on the ‘Our Team’ section of their website.
WINTER SCENT REVIEW:
A sophisticated, deep and sensual scent with top notes of pomegranate, plum and rose.
First of all, Happy New Year to all of you! I really hope you had a fantastic festive break and spent it with your loved ones. New Year is such a good time to reflect on the last episode of your life and think about what new goals you want to work towards in this new chapter. If you’re in need of some motivation or tips on how to stick to your resolutions then have a read of my New Year Motivation post.
In this blog post I’m reviewing one of my new favourite accessory brands which I cannot wait to share with you! It’s rare that you come across an independent brand that has both incredible products and a super friendly team working behind the scenes. Personally, I feel as a blogger it’s important for me to only share with you the companies and brands that I truly love and support, that I feel proud to be associated with and honoured to wear.
I first heard about US brand Kozha Numbers while on holiday last year, I was recommended to take a look at them online by a friend. So I headed straight to their stunningly chic Instagram page and instantly fell in love! Their sleek leather designs are minimal and sophisticated – making them the ideal accessory for pretty much any outfit combination.
The two products I knew I had to add to my Christmas list! I’d been on the search for a new purse for a while as my old one was falling apart at the seams! Plus recently relocating back to London meant that I was also keen to purchase a Cardlet, just a little wallet style pouch which keeps your cash card or oyster safe when you’re travelling. I would highly recommend purchasing one of these as they eliminate the hassle of pulling out your purse every time you want to touch in or out on the tube.
Both the Cardlet and Cashlet from Kozha Numbers are made from super soft and sleek latigo leather and fasten with a thin silicone string which wraps around the purse keeping your items safe inside. Both products also feature the stunning Kozha Numbers logo which I’m a huge fan of. The gold writing against the high quality black leather is just stunning and so unique. If like me you have a love for simple minimal designs which have a big impact, you need to get to know this brand!
BAGS & OTHER ACCESSORIES
Kozha Numbers have an exceptional range of products on their website – all which follow the same slick and minimal design. You can browse the full collection by clicking here.

This week I received a very special package from my favourite candle brand Buth Bheag Candle co. You may have already read about this brand on my blog back in April this year where I reviewed two candles from both the Losgaintir and Huisinins collection. You can catch up here.
Since my last post the company has been going from strength to strength with mini pop up shops and the launch of several new fragrances. It’s always a joy to collaborate with independent, ambitious brands that have created a unique and exciting product; Buth Bheag Candle Co. are the ultimate pleasure to work with, from the team to the products, it’s the ultimate luxury experience.
In this post I’m going to review two products each from new collections that have launched this year – both of which I absolutely love! Plus, this is my first festive post of the year which makes me so excited!
Cranberry Christmas Candle
“A festive combination of cranberries, orange and cinnamon with floral back notes on a base of sandal, cedar, musk vanilla and sugar.”
If like me, you love Christmas and all things festive, you have to get your hands on the new Christmas collection. When I first opened the box the scent reminded me of all things festive and when lit, the candle fills the room with a gorgeous rich fragrance. I wanted to point out that a lot of scented Christmas candles can become quite headachey after a while but this one is completely different. The soy formula burns slower than most candles I’ve purchased in the past, they also last a lot longer than most other brands I’ve tried.
The Christmas collection features wax melts and reed diffusers so you can choose which product works best with your household. One thing I really like about the Christmas candle is the glass jar and festive design – it makes the perfect centre piece for the dinner table or little addition to the mantle piece.
“Stimulating and sensual – evoking the tranquil beauty of an exotic eastern garden. Top notes of tangy lemongrass, Sicilian lemons and juicy limes lead into a heart of spicy ginger root and grated nutmeg, and a hint of refreshing eucalyptus. Base notes include sensual patchouli, white woods and creamy vanilla.”
This candle is very different from their other collections, this luxury scent is incredibly refreshing – the citrus burst makes you feel instantly uplifted, to me, this is the ideal scent to burn in the morning or to have in the bathroom.
I recently went for dinner at Sketch, the famous French restaurant in Mayfair, London and I remembered they has numerous Diptyque candles burning – the scent was very fresh and citrus based much like the Horgabost collection. When I first smelt this candle, I was reminded of that night – the scents are practically identical however Diptyque candles start at £40, four times the price of Buth Bheag’s collection! Not only do they use the very best ingredients – each scent is blended to perfection. What I love about this brand is the fact you can enjoy luxury in your home for less.
The deisgn of the Horgabost collection is similar to their previous collections with a minimal design. The chic packaging gives them a sophisticated edge and the greyscale beach scene on the sides is a reminder that each and every candle has been hand poured in the beautiful Isle of Harris.

Last weekend I attended 2000 trees festival which is held in Cheltenham. This year was my third year running and I have to say it’s the one event I look forward to every summer. The festival itself showcases new & underground music from across the world of varying genres and personally, I find it so refreshing. Day to day I listen to house/electro/dance music mostly but aside from that I really rock & indie (especially live) so 2000 trees is a must for my inner rock chick!
You can catch up on last years line up & music review here.
The weather on the first day was gorgeous but I had to remind myself that we are in England so I wore an outfit prepared to adjust to any sudden showers. I absolutely LOVE this little dress by Boohoo, the embroidery reminds me of the Dolce & Gabbana SS Collection (see photo below). I teamed the dress with a western style belt just to give a little more shape and pull the outfit together.
Recently I’m liking feminine dresses and maxi skirts worn with distressed military boots, the combination is striking and suits pretty much everyone as you can put your own spin on it. This kind of grungy/rebellious style is perfect for festivals and I channelled this for Look One.
The second day wasn’t as sunny and it had rained the night before which called for the wellies! One thing I really like about festival fashion is that you can throw an outfit together in seconds and it works. I will admit I panicked slightly the morning of day two because the weather had predicted sunshine! I love the sequin top but I really wasn’t sure how it would look over a swing dress (plus the lack of full length mirrors really doesn’t help) so in true English festival style, I literally just threw it on and went with it. Looking back at the photos this outfit reminds me of the iconic Kate Moss Glastonbury snaps, have a look below for some glittery inspiration.
This year I kept my base make up natural by using a mineral foundation instead of my usual full coverage liquid one. I also find that using a mineral foundation makes it much easier to blend in your bronzer & highlighter which is ideal for festivals and holidays when you want to enhance your glow. My favourite products for festivals are listed below and you can find the tutorial for this heavy pigment eye make-up on my festival guide here.
Foundation – Bare Minerals
Bronzer – Mac ‘Give Me Sun’
Highlighter – Mac ‘Mineralize’ Skin Finish in Light/Medium.
For your festival make up bag…
Lips are a tricky one for festivals, I remember wearing a full red lip to a festival style day party in Ibiza and regretting it almost as soon as I arrived! High pigment coloured lipsticks are high maintenance at the best of times which is why i opted for my go-to natural lip combination of Mac ‘Soar’ lip liner pencil and Mac Satin Lipsick in ‘Faux’ these two products blend beautifully together and last all day. The colour is so similar to my natural lip colour that it doesn’t matter if I forget to re-apply. TIP: run a thin layer of liquid Carmex lip balm over the top to keep your lips from chapping and add an SPF 15.
Flower crowns are an absolute must have for any festival, a simple flower band instantly completes any outfit and compliments your face, hair and make – up. Plus they’re so easy to wear. My favourite has to be the ‘Cloud Nine’ crown from Candy Flower – you can find out more by reading my brand review here.
Harnesses are another simple accessory that I’ve found really make a difference. I was sent this black choker style harness a couple of weeks ago and I had been waiting for the perfect opportunity to wear it. I personally love pulling together monochrome outfits and teaming black with crisp whites, so i decided to wear the harness underneath my favourite long t shirt dress by Missguided and threw my Zara leather jacket over my shoulders. The perfect combination for the journey to the festival.
For my nails I chose ‘Minted‘ by True Brit London from their Classic collection. I wanted to wear a fresh summery colour that would match every one of my outfits so this creamy peppermint shade was just right. The high gloss colour also has a pearly white tint which gives off a luminous glow – the perfect partner for silver jewellery.
I would recommend applying a coat of their caviar base coat and then two coats of the colour and finish it off with their high shine top coat for prolonged wear at a festival.

Last week saw my blog turn one year old which feels crazy because it only seems like the other week I decided to launch it! When I first started I had no idea how successful it was going to become – I had just graduated and thought blogging would be a good way to keep in routine and start my career. I could only dream of collaborating with companies and other bloggers…
Now, a year on, I can say I’ve worked with a huge selection of fantastic independent brands that I feel honoured to be affiliated with. From my first collaboration with True Brit London, a luxury nail lacquer brand from London, to my most recent one with JD Women’s. Hard work and persistence really does pay off!
So, to celebrate one year, my friends at Saltwater in Nottingham offered me the chance to throw a little blogger party…so I jumped a the chance! It was so good to finally meet other bloggers that I’d come across online and get to know them. When I planned the event I also wanted it to be about networking. I recently attended a Blogger social in London which gave people like me a chance to link up and make new friends with other people in the industry. I remember walking out wishing there were more events like that up here in the East Midlands which would bring more people together, so, that’s what I did!
A couple of days prior to the event I was deciding on which cocktails to offer on the night and with the bar tenders, we came up with a ‘Strawberry Russian’. One of the reasons Saltwater is my favourite bar is how knowledgeable the staff are, if the extensive cocktail menu isn’t enough – you can tell them what your favourite flavours are and watch them come up with something just for you. I’ve always loved White Russian cocktails but fancied something a little different for the party so the strawberry twist was just perfect.
As well as delicious cocktails and personalised cupcakes from the wonderful Rachael’s Kitchen, the Saltwater chef’s brought out some nibbles for us. If you’re ever out and about in Nottingham and fancy a bite to eat, check out Saltwater’s new menu here. One of my absolute favourite things to do in Summer is sit out on the rooftop bar with a cocktail and enjoy the food! Their steak is the best in town and the sweet potato fries are amazing!
For the event I kept my outfit classic and opted for a midi LBD teamed with a thick black choker and nude heels. I’ve recently started wearing midi dresses much more frequently, they’re perfect for this in-between weather and show just the right amount of skin.
You can shop each item in the ‘Shop my Style’ section of this page.
Thank you to everyone who attended my event last week and made it so special & a huge thank you to all of you reading this, my followers! This past year has been a dream come true and I’m incredibly excited to see what this next year holds…
Yesterday I came home from work to the most generous and seriously amazing delivery from JD Womens! I’d previously seen the likes of Sarah Ashcroft, Charlotte Crosby and Sam Faiers wearing and looking incredible in Pink Soda Sports wear so, I was over the moon to try the sporty gear out for myself!
First off I was stunned by the quality of the fabric used on each of the garments they sent me, the lightweight and breathable material means this collection is ideal for working out on the tracks or yoga mats. Their capsule collection I’ve been wearing really is all a girl needs, sports wear can be pricey and what I like best about this brand is how versatile and durable their pieces are.
So, if you’re looking for some motivational new gym garms, look no further! Read my review below and shop the full Pink Soda collection here.
All five items of sportswear they sent me fitted perfectly, I (like most girls) find it really hard to shop for sports bras, the cute ones are always too small and tight across the chest and the ones that are big enough don’t provide enough support!
The Pink Soda Sport 2-in-1 Vest & Sports Bra is an absolute must have! Not only is it true to size and caters for bigger cup sizes but also provides lasting support (I’ve worn and washed mine a couple of times now and the bra is still supportive as it was when I opened the box!)
I absolutely love the simple and elegant monochrome design of the Pink Soda Contrast Fitness Tights. For me, what I wear when I work out is so important. If I feel confident I know I will focus and work hard to reach my goals, if I’m feeling at all uncomfortable it puts me off my workout completely! After all, there is nothing worse then feeling self concious at the gym. I would highly recommend these sporty leggings to any girl that takes her fitness seriously, the breathable fabric draws sweat from the skin cooling you faster. Plus the hidden pocket in the waistband is absolutely genius – perfect to store your keys and iPod whist you workout.
The plush Pink Soda Contrast Hoodie & matching Pink Soda Contrast Joggers are super soft and cosy meaning they’re perfect for both lounging on a Sunday as well as throwing on after swim or gym session. The Skinny fit bottoms are flattering and super comfortable, they fit all your curves exactly how they should do & the simple black and grey design keeps you looking stylish even after a tough workout!
When I first put on the sports bra and matching yoga leggings I instantly felt motivated to hit the gym! The powerful yet girly branding is empowering and infectious, I actually had a few inbox messages on Instagram after posting a photo of my new goodies from girls wondering where they could get their hands on some Pink Soda!
If you’re still wanting to find new ways of keeping motivated have a read of my New Year Motivation post which will help you stay focused on your goals.
Girls make sure you follow both @JDWomen & @PinkSodaSport on Instagram and use the hashtag #PinkSodaSport to show yours off!
Pink Soda Sport is available exclusively at JD Sports, in-store & online.
Firstly, I am just so excited about this collaboration! The two mega babes behind popular blog A BIKINI A DAY Miss Natasha Oakley and Devin Brugman have been my absolute idols for the past few years. Aside from travelling the world and working with some of the most desirable and luxurious swimwear brands from all four corners of the globe they’re mantra has always been to inspire girls to feel comfortable and beautiful in their own skin by promoting healthy and natural bodies, which is something I fully support.
Their blog covers fashion, beauty and lifestyle and the duo are constantly addressing serious issues and using their fame for good purposes; read their latest article about why you shouldn’t pay to ride elephants in Thailand here.
Now that you’ve got a good idea about the girls behind A BIKINI A DAY lets talk about their recent collection with my favourite on-line retailer Missguided!
The sexy collection launched earlier this month and features a variety of cuts, shapes and styles. Personally, I’m really glad the girls chose a wide range of bikinis to feature in this collection because every girl is different; there really is something for everyone. The colours used are perfect and bang on trend, they range from pastel nudes to bright reds so you can find the perfect bikini to flatter your skin tone.
When it comes to the A BIKINI A DAY X MISSGUIDED collection, the stand out selling point for me is that each bikini is designed to fit the female body perfectly; the bikini top from the ‘Mesh Mix Triangle Bikini Set Red‘ has over the shoulder style straps that hook into the back straps to spread the support evenly just like a bra & I have to say it’s the most comfortable bikini top I’ve ever worn! I’d highly recommend this swimwear collection to anyone with a bigger bust C-D/DD the cups are wider and slightly longer than most I’ve seen on the high street and support you perfectly so that you feel 100% confident.
If you’re more of a halter neck girl then have a look at the ‘Mesh Panel Tie Bikini Set Nude’ which features a gorgeous gold tasselled neck tie with matching tie side bottoms (perfect for curvier hips).
Since following Natasha and Devin on Instagram I’ve become much more aware of what cuts suit which body shape. Before following them I would always wear full coverage bikini bottoms (to be honest I didn’t even know what ‘Brazilian cut’ meant!) In my mind I’ve always found full coverage bottoms quite annoying, they can easily become saggy or uncomfortable, which is definitely not what you want at the beach! I bought my first ever Brazilian cut bikini actually by accident, I ordered a bikini on-line without inspecting it and when it arrived I really wasn’t sure whether or not I’d get on with it. Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised and haven’t looked back since. I find the Brazilian fit very flattering and comfortable so now my bikini collection at home now has a good mix of full, medium and small coverage bottoms to match my mood.
The ‘Mesh Panel Tie Bikini Set Nude’ is a great introduction to Brazilian Bikinis so if you’re a bit apprehensive like I was at the beginning, I’d say this set is for you! The colour is just to die for and the adjustable ties mean you will get just the right amount of support.
Still unsure? Read up about why you switch to Brazilian bottoms on the A BIKINI A DAY blog here.
LUXURY FOR LESS
One other reason to treat yourself to a couple of pieces from the collection is the price vs quality. The fabrics used are super soft and supportive, they’re not scratchy or clingy at all and in fact are very similar to the fabric used in Natasha and Devin’s luxury swimwear brand Monday Swimwear which I bought and reviewed earlier this year, you can catch up here. Monday swimwear is roughly triple the price of the Missguided collaboration and when I’m comparing the two, there’s little/no difference! The same high quality design and fabric of the luxury brand is used in the Missguided collection meaning you get a beautiful, perfect fitting bikini without the hefty price tag!
This is the reason I’m so glad that Natasha & Devin decided to work with Missguided as opposed to the other on-line retailers. I will always head straight to Missguided for on trend fashion for less and this collection is no different, ranging from £20-£35 you really can’t go wrong.
Here are a couple of my favourites from the collection, click to shop.

This week I attended the Bloggers Hangout in London which was fantastic, Lauren (creator of BinBagCouture.com) and I were introduced to some new and exciting brands which I will be sharing with you on my Instagram account over the next week. The event was held at the Pop-Up Café in SE London (one of my favourite parts) and was just around the corner from Heron Tower.
Before the event got started Lauren and I decided to use our time wisely and went on the search for a location to shoot some outfits in South Kensington. I titled this post ‘Chelsea Girl’ as my inspiration came from poplar reality series ‘Made In Chelsea’ and was shot in one their local hotspots! When deciding what to wear,I wanted to replicate the effortless chic that the likes of Lucy Watson and Stephanie Pratt channel each episode, so I opted for a classic black outfit.
The cast of ‘Made in Chelsea’ can usually be seen shopping at the designer boutiques darted around Chelsea high street and the show follows their lavish West London lifestyle. For this post I wanted to show you how you can re-create a high end designer look for less.
Black Lattice Wrap Blouse – Boohoo £12
Black Duster Jacket – Boohoo $20
Black Joni Jeans – Topshop £36
Black Chelsea Boots – Topshop £48

Last week I shot a super exciting Christmas themed advert for Outfit fashion! During the shoot in London I wore a selection of the in house brands including Topshop, Dorothy Perkins and Miss Selfridge.
In the lead up I was extremely excited but also a little worried about looking my best for the camera! So when COCOSWISH landed on my doorstep I was so excited to try it!
Oil pulling is an ancient dental technique which draws out toxins and bad bacteria from your teeth and gums. This method has been tried and tested for many years and has had fantastic results.
Each sachet from COCOSWISH contains the organic coconut oil formula which you swish around in your mouth for between 5-15 minutes on a daily basis. This natural and safe alternative to teeth whitening has become incredibly popular in recent times and Australian brand Cocoswish is at the forefront of its revival!
The pack included 14 sachets in 3 different flavours (mint, vanilla & lemon) I’m almost half way through and I’m still trying to decide which flavour I like best, they’re all amazing!
On the day of the shoot I felt a lot more confident and I also noticed how clean and healthy my mouth feels. I’m incredibly pleased already with the results I’ve seen over the last 4 days and I’m excited to see the end result after the 14 day course.
