I’m so excited to share this post with you all as I feel like working with this brand sums up perfectly the reasons why I love being a blogger. For those of you who have followed my blog for a little while – you may have read my previous post back in April reviewing Buth Bheag Candle Co.

Since the spring this luxury brand has gone from strength to strength with the help of bloggers and influencers from across the UK sharing the love for their stunning range of products. They have now landed themselves over 30 stockists and two brand new shops.

Sometimes when a project or new venture takes shape and naturally progresses a re-brand can be a really exciting and refreshing way to move forward and celebrate the success you’ve made. When the team announced the re-brand I instantly couldn’t wait to see what this meant for them as a company; I was pleasantly suprised to see that they are still taking their inspiration from their beautiful home of the Scottish Isles by keeping their scents named after the many beaches that make up the stunning coastline.

When I opened the parcel up to reveal the two beautifully packaged items I thought for a moment what good gifts they would make. The re-brand has taken on a slightly more mature, sophisticated vibe.

You can tell as soon as you open the box that it’s a luxury item – from the on trend marble exterior to the minimal, slick glassware. Each and every perfectly executed little detail completely sets Essence of Harris apart from the other brands on the market. Everything down to their scent collections, packaging and brand story is unique and you truly feel like you have a little bit of paradise in your home when you purchase from them.

Each scent collection comes in a different colour palette, each with rose gold lettering which makes the new range ideal for gifts with the festive season coming around.

Another reason that makes this new collection special is the fact they’ve gone right back to basics by discussing how each of the candles and reed diffusers are made on the side of the packaging. Absolutely every single item is hand-poured with love in the Isle of Harris and you can even learn more about the creators of the brand on the ‘Our Team’ section of their website.

A sophisticated, deep and sensual scent with top notes of pomegranate, plum and rose.
(Black Pomegranate Reed Diffuser, £17. Available at
Warm, cosy and not too overpowering. It’s also a very natural scent, sometimes in the past I’ve purchased room sprays and diffusers that are way too strong and almost have an artificial scent.
Each of their diffuser ranges come the 100ml size which will usually last for up to 12 weeks. Ideal for Christmas in the living room or bedroom.

So as some of you may already know I’ve relocated back to my hometown of London and last week my good friend and fellow blogger babe Lauren came down to see me before an event – which called for shopping! We visited the one and only Selfridges first and browsed the designer jewellery sections on the first floor and that’s when I fell in love…

In the Chanel section, I spotted a coin style necklace on one of the mannequins which they’d styled with a classic two piece blazer and skirt suit. The necklace caught my eye as soon as I walked in because of its intricate detail and striking design. After seeing the full selection and trying on several items, Lauren and I decided to go to the Chanel flagship store on New Bond Street to browse their collection and compare it to Selfridges.

When we arrived I basically became the love heart eye emoji and got a little bit excited about the new A/W accessories campaign, not to mention the ready to wear capsule collection on the first floor! When one of the advisers approached us, I explained what I had seen at the Selfridges concession and the assistant then showed us their jewellery display. The Chanel flagship had a much bigger and varied selection of jewellery, I would recommend visiting the store as opposed to Selfridges, I would point out that the service is much better at the Chanel store too.

The necklace itself is timeless. The medallion style is similar to the vintage Chanel pieces which sell for over £16,000 on the vintage classic markets and the rich deep golden colour gives it that high end designer edge.

What I like best about the necklace is how you can adjust it to suit your mood. The necklace has two length options both of which I love.

When the necklace is set to its shorter length which is near enough a choker style, the excess golden chain hangs down your back with the tiny Chanel logo at the bottom. This style is absolutely ideal to wear with backless dresses along with a slick up-do to show off the stunning design.

The second longer setting is the one I choose to wear on a day to day basis as it looks fabulous either over a top or hanging down underneath a shirt.

For anyone looking for that perfect accessory to add instant style to any outfit this necklace is for you. It’s the perfect combination of class and elegance, its understated small detailing  is eye catching in an enchanting way. I find a lot of designer necklaces to be very ‘in your face’ and brash – this piece is the opposite.

Another benefit to this necklace is that the beautiful design is so striking that it doesn’t need earrings, bracelets or even rings to match. Less really is more when it comes to accessorising an outfit.

If this post has inspired you to shop, I can recommend my adviser Yaneff at Chanel New Bond Street for appointments.

Thank you for reading,

Last week saw my blog turn one year old which feels crazy because it only seems like the other week I decided to launch it! When I first started I had no idea how successful it was going to become – I had just graduated and thought blogging would be a good way to keep in routine and start my career. I could only dream of collaborating with companies and other bloggers…

Now, a year on, I can say I’ve worked with a huge selection of fantastic independent brands that I feel honoured to be affiliated with. From my first collaboration with True Brit London, a luxury nail lacquer brand from London, to my most recent one with JD Women’s. Hard work and persistence really does pay off!

So, to celebrate one year, my friends at Saltwater in Nottingham offered me the chance to throw a little blogger party…so I jumped a the chance! It was so good to finally meet other bloggers that I’d come across online and get to know them. When I planned the event I also wanted it to be about networking. I recently attended a Blogger social in London which gave people like me a chance to link up and make new friends with other people in the industry. I remember walking out wishing there were more events like that up here in the East Midlands which would bring more people together, so, that’s what I did!

A couple of days prior to the event I was deciding on which cocktails to offer on the night and with the bar tenders, we came up with a ‘Strawberry Russian’. One of the reasons Saltwater is my favourite bar is how knowledgeable the staff are, if the extensive cocktail menu isn’t enough – you can tell them what your favourite flavours are and watch them come up with something just for you. I’ve always loved White Russian cocktails but fancied something a little different for the party so the strawberry twist was just perfect.

As well as delicious cocktails and personalised cupcakes from the wonderful Rachael’s Kitchen, the Saltwater chef’s brought out some nibbles for us. If you’re ever out and about in Nottingham and fancy a bite to eat, check out Saltwater’s new menu here. One of my absolute favourite things to do in Summer is sit out on the rooftop bar with a cocktail and enjoy the food! Their steak is the best in town and the sweet potato fries are amazing!

For the event I kept my outfit classic and opted for a midi LBD teamed with a thick black choker and nude heels. I’ve recently started wearing midi dresses much more frequently, they’re perfect for this in-between weather and show just the right amount of skin.

You can shop each item in the ‘Shop my Style’ section of this page.

Thank you to everyone who attended my event last week and made it so special & a huge thank you to all of you reading this, my followers! This past year has been a dream come true and I’m incredibly excited to see what this next year holds…

Firstly, I am just so excited about this collaboration! The two mega babes behind popular blog A BIKINI A DAY Miss Natasha Oakley and Devin Brugman have been my absolute idols for the past few years. Aside from travelling the world and working with some of the most desirable and luxurious swimwear brands from all four corners of the globe they’re mantra has always been to inspire girls to feel comfortable and beautiful in their own skin by promoting healthy and natural bodies, which is something I fully support.
Their blog covers fashion, beauty and lifestyle and the duo are constantly addressing serious issues and using their fame for good purposes; read their latest article about why you shouldn’t pay to ride elephants in Thailand here.
Now that you’ve got a good idea about the girls behind A BIKINI A DAY lets talk about their recent collection with my favourite on-line retailer Missguided!
The sexy collection launched earlier this month and features a variety of cuts, shapes and styles. Personally, I’m really glad the girls chose a wide range of bikinis to feature in this collection because every girl is different; there really is something for everyone. The colours used are perfect and bang on trend, they range from pastel nudes to bright reds so you can find the perfect bikini to flatter your skin tone.
When it comes to the A BIKINI A DAY X MISSGUIDED collection, the stand out selling point for me is that each bikini is designed to fit the female body perfectly; the bikini top from the ‘Mesh Mix Triangle Bikini Set Red‘ has over the shoulder style straps that hook into the back straps to spread the support evenly just like a bra & I have to say it’s the most comfortable bikini top I’ve ever worn! I’d highly recommend this swimwear collection to anyone with a bigger bust C-D/DD the cups are wider and slightly longer than most I’ve seen on the high street and support you perfectly so that you feel 100% confident.
If you’re more of a halter neck girl then have a look at the ‘Mesh Panel Tie Bikini Set Nude’ which features a gorgeous gold tasselled neck tie with matching tie side bottoms (perfect for curvier hips).
Since following Natasha and Devin on Instagram I’ve become much more aware of what cuts suit which body shape. Before following them I would always wear full coverage bikini bottoms (to be honest I didn’t even know what ‘Brazilian cut’ meant!) In my mind I’ve always found full coverage bottoms quite annoying, they can easily become saggy or uncomfortable, which is definitely not what you want at the beach! I bought my first ever Brazilian cut bikini actually by accident, I ordered a bikini on-line without inspecting it and when it arrived I really wasn’t sure whether or not I’d get on with it. Luckily, I was pleasantly  surprised and haven’t looked back since. I find the Brazilian fit very flattering and comfortable so now my bikini collection at home now has a good mix of full, medium and small coverage bottoms to match my mood.
The ‘Mesh Panel Tie Bikini Set Nude’ is a great introduction to Brazilian Bikinis so if you’re a bit apprehensive like I was at the beginning, I’d say this set is for you! The colour is just to die for and the adjustable ties mean you will get just the right amount of support.
Still unsure? Read up about why you switch to Brazilian bottoms on the A BIKINI A DAY blog here.
One other reason to treat yourself to a couple of pieces from the collection is the price vs quality. The fabrics used are super soft and supportive, they’re not scratchy or clingy at all and in fact are very similar to the fabric used in Natasha and Devin’s luxury swimwear brand Monday Swimwear which I bought and reviewed earlier this year, you can catch up here. Monday swimwear is roughly triple the price of the Missguided collaboration and when I’m comparing the two, there’s little/no difference! The same high quality design and fabric of the luxury brand is used in the Missguided collection meaning you get a beautiful, perfect fitting bikini without the hefty price tag!
This is the reason I’m so glad that Natasha & Devin decided to work with Missguided as opposed to the other on-line retailers. I will always head straight to Missguided for on trend fashion for less and this collection is no different, ranging from £20-£35 you really can’t go wrong.
Here are a couple of my favourites from the collection, click to shop.
View the whole collection on Missguided here and let me know in the comments section which style you went for!
Make sure you follow Natasha Oakley on Instagram & her BFF Devin Brugman too!

This week I attended the Bloggers Hangout in London which was fantastic, Lauren (creator of and I were introduced to some new and exciting brands which I will be sharing with you on my Instagram account over the next week. The event was held at the Pop-Up Café in SE London (one of my favourite parts) and was just around the corner from Heron Tower.

Before the event got started Lauren and I decided to use our time wisely and went on the search for a location to shoot some outfits in South Kensington. I titled this post ‘Chelsea Girl’ as my inspiration came from poplar reality series ‘Made In Chelsea’  and was shot in one their local hotspots! When deciding what to wear, I wanted to replicate the effortless chic that the likes of Lucy Watson and Stephanie Pratt channel each episode, so I opted for a classic black outfit.

The cast of ‘Made in Chelsea’ can usually be seen shopping at the designer boutiques darted around Chelsea high street and the show follows their lavish West London lifestyle. For this post I wanted to show you how you can re-create a high end designer look for less.

This week I met up with Lauren Francine on location at the Park Estate in Nottingham – after meeting recently we decided to shoot some outfits and talk fashion over cocktails! Lauren is a fashion blogger over at and has recently collaborated with!

When I was prepping for the shoot I wanted to showcase two very different looks to replicate the edit rails I put together at my Style Lounge.

For my first look I went for an all black outfit, which is my absolute go-to. I often get asked at work why I wear all black by choice and the answer is simple – I spend my day styling other people and focusing on them, so when it comes to my outfit, I want it to be sharp and stylish but understated at the same time so that the customer knows the day is about them.

I’m excited to share this post with you as it features one of my favourite new season pieces by Topshop – the Sleeveless Faux Leather Jacket. I adore this piece – the chunky metal belt gives it a rebellious edge and the greyish tint of the fabric makes it the perfect alternative to a heavy classic biker jacket, meaning you can wear it through spring.

Working as a stylist I am constantly looking for fresh inspiration – day to day I find myself flicking through Vogue magazine and increasing my knowledge of the current key trends  (it’s like a bible to me!)… So when I decided to put together two brand new Edit Rails, I reached for my SS16 Vogue guide and got to work…

My first Edit Rail is all about lace, mesh and leather with a sports luxe twist. This trend was recently seen on the Burberry runway and is the ideal rebellious alternative to the Pastal palettes seen across the brands.

STYLE NOTE: Play with different textures. Add a Warehouse Leather Jacket to a Topshop Mesh Insert Crop top for an edgy, modern take on the classic Rock Chic look.

Folk Love features relaxed chiffon shirts, 70’s floral and delicate beaded jewellery. This particular collection has a strong festival feel to it, the soft tailoring gives the rail a carefree attitude and this seasons layering rule means the trend is easy and ready to wear. My vision for this rail was a subtle reminder that summer is around the corner. The combination of fresh floral prints and a contrasting burnt orange palette remind us of warm sunsets.

STYLE NOTE: Mix monochrome Aztec prints with a knee length Dorothy Perkins floral Kimono for extra style points.

This Halloween I didn’t really get many treats (apart from one of those tiny bags of haribo!) So, I was really excited when Fate Luxury contacted me to tell me they were launching their brand new website and wanted to send me a little treat in the post!

Blue is my favourite colour so it is hardly surprising I couldn’t take my eyes off this beautiful Fantasy Lingerie Set in ‘Light Blue’ the stunning icy tone is so unusual and eye catching, I’ve never seen this colour used in a lingerie line before so it was refreshing to try something new. When I tried on the bralet I was surprised at how supportive it was! Finally! A cute bralet that actually does the job of a bra! The super soft under wiring provides you with just the right amount of support without feeling tight or restrictive and the straps are fully adjustable allowing you to find your perfect fit.

I especially love the black caging detail against the delicate lace. Fate Luxury have re-written the rules and produced an incredible lingerie collection, think along the lines of Agent Provocateur with a colourful twist. Their gorgeous pieces wouldn’t look out of place on the famous Victoria’s Secret runway shows and this set at just £30.99 belongs in every girls knicker draw.

Recently I’ve just started a new job as a style team manager, so I’ve been super busy training stylists and organising business trips (I’m sure you all know how hard it is to find time for yourself when you have a full work schedule!) So unfortunately underwear shopping has been at the bottom of my list for a while.

When you work full time or if you have children it can be hard to find a moment to yourself which is why Fate Luxury is my new go-to underwear shop. Their brand new website allows you to order items to be delivered to your door.. meaning you can browse, shop and pay securely with a few clicks.

I’m a huge believer that confidence comes from within, to me there is nothing sexier than someone who is sure of themselves and is confident enough to dress the way they want to. Fate Luxury understands women and knows exactly want we need to feel comfortable in our own skin. The soft luxurious lace feels like silk and fits your curves perfectly, this combined with the subtle yet sexy harnessing detail adds a playful edge. The three piece set comes complete with bralet, knickers and suspender belt which I would recommend teaming up with their Coquette Stockings for the ultimate ensemble!

I’m really excited to see what else Fate Luxury have in store as I was so impressed by the quality and design of the garments I received, this brand is definitely one to keep your eye on!

This year I’ve been taking good care of my skin as now that I’m getting further into my twenties I’m beginning to realise how important it is to start use quality products that keep my skin in tip top condition all year round.

I’ve always been a huge fan of face masks and peels, not only are they fun to do but at the same time they give your precious skin exactly what it needs to look and feel amazing.

Alaska Glacial Mud Co are a luxury, natural spa therapy brand that use organic minerals and plants sustainably hand carved from Alaska’s Pacific Coast that detoxify, soften and nourish skin.

I’ve used a number of face masks in the past so when I received my trial pack from Alaska Glacial Mud Co – I was sort of expecting it to be similar to the products that I have used in the past…I couldn’t have been more wrong!

The trial pack included the Lavender and Peppermint mask, the Vanilla and Lavender mask and an unscented one which I thought was fantastic as sometimes it’s nice to take a break from the heavily scented products on the market.

Firstly I tried the Vanilla Lavender glacial facial mask and was completely blown away! The smell was really subtle and earthy which I really enjoyed and on top of that, the quality was of such a high standard, there isn’t any other product I can compare it to. The texture is incredibly soft and when applied to the skin it instantly soothes and cools. You can actually feel the product drawing out impurities and lifting away dirt.

Plus, I loved how the masks came with a dinky little brush which revolutionised my face mask routine. Gone are the days I will get it all stuck in between my fingers and nails! The brush is such a nice touch and adds to the luxury home facial experience.

As I’ve mentioned before, the skin on my face has always been sensitive to fragrances and harsh chemicals so I’m always careful and read the label before buying make up and skincare products. Alaska Glacial’s skincare line is free from these ingredients plus their packaging is biodegradable, recyclable and cruelty free! ️

So, what does the mask actually do for your skin? To start, each of their face masks are made with the most mineral-rich and pure glacial clay in the world which gently detoxifies, exfoliates and softens skin. At the same time, the blend of active ingredients contains more than 60 nourishing major and trace elements that promote healthy skin cell regeneration – so your skin stays younger for longer.

Another reason I support this incredible brand and feel so proud to share with you all is that they use natural ingredients and understand how important it is to give back to the environment. So, when you buy one of their products they donate 10% of their profits to local organisations that love, work and fight for wild salmon wilderness preservation, habitat restoration and watershed education! Who knew that a company could create such luxurious skincare products while protecting our wonderful world too – just amazing.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to up their skincare game and wants to be a part of something special with their giving back program and if you’re starting to keep your eye out for Christmas presents – they have some gorgeous and affordable gift sets available here.

Order and browse their entire range here.
